I promise
to be a better blogger. I tried to make up for 7 months tonight. In the future (also known as A.B., After Baby) I will be better with it and anyone who actually bothers to look at this will be sick to death of pics of baby and gear and doggie....
Grown up gear
This lovely new chair is a rocker for me and the baby.
Our old couch was so saggy and pathetic. After a ridiculous experience with my parents visiting and a leaky Aerobed, we purchased this beautiful new couch (with help from said parents). Baby Gear
My parents got us the Little Red Corvette of Strollers! I am also showing off the first sign of my baby bump. Looking at me sporting a Jayhawk sweatshirt is a little bittersweet today.
Now for the Main Event
Of course, the real reason to move was that we are expecting a baby in July!
Here is the confirmation that I was pregnant! Baby is just a little blob... but there was a bright flash of light that was a tiny heartbeat.
Some weeks later, baby has developed into a tadpole.
This is from my last sonogram at 21 weeks. We found out that HE is doing fine, is a boy and supposedly a little big for his age. The doc wasn't alarmed.
New address...
I have a lot of affection for our old apartment. It was very cozy (aka tiny) and Mr. and I had become a family there. But our new apartment is all about the next phase of our family.
The nursery will have to share space with the office, but that is ok.
Its been a long time
I am sure that has been the title for many a blog post, but we have been through some major changes lately and I really haven't kept up.
First up- we moved. Just six blocks north from our previous apartment. But it is about twice as much space and some important amenities. Namely: a dishwasher, 5 closet and laundry in the building. We are on the first floor- so no more shlepping up the steps... This apartment is in great shape, tall ceilings, hardwood floors and lots of windows, nice kitchen and bathroom and most importantly, an extra room. It is technically a dining room, but we will be using it as a nursery.
Note the huge oven, full size dishwasher and built in microwave. I know, those that live in the suburbs are like: YAWN, but for a NYC apartment, this is pretty incredible.
