Showered upon

So this is the point of the shower, being showered with gifts. It is a little strange, a little selfish; as if it is Christmas, but you are the only one with gifts.
L. made the most beautiful quilt for the baby. She made a matching pillow and toy- it is just stunning.
This is the best one of these ridiculous ribbon hats I have ever seen.

Baby Shower

My dear friends, L. and E. threw me a baby shower. They just swept in and took over the apartment with flowers, food, drinks and decorations.
Z. helped out with beautiful salads and D. was in charge of cocktails.
It was so lovely, just relaxing with friends and babies and eating fresh homemade pie!

I promise

to be a better blogger. I tried to make up for 7 months tonight. In the future (also known as A.B., After Baby) I will be better with it and anyone who actually bothers to look at this will be sick to death of pics of baby and gear and doggie....

Grown up gear

This lovely new chair is a rocker for me and the baby.

Our old couch was so saggy and pathetic. After a ridiculous experience with my parents visiting and a leaky Aerobed, we purchased this beautiful new couch (with help from said parents).
And now we can entertain in style, or at least in comfort. Really, having a baby and a sturdy pull out is all a ploy to get more visitors...

Baby Gear

My parents got us the Little Red Corvette of Strollers! I am also showing off the first sign of my baby bump. Looking at me sporting a Jayhawk sweatshirt is a little bittersweet today.

We also received a beautiful crib and matching dresser from Mr.'s parents and brother! The nursery is starting to come together.
